I appreciate everyone's extreme concern for my well being as it relates to the swelling I've experienced in my legs and feet the last little while. I actually wasn't really worried about the swelling and assumed it was normal until everyone else FREAKED OUT about it. Then... I naturally followed suit and freaked out.
The pictures are somewhat disturbing and I understand that in real life my pregnancy edema can be even more disturbing. I do however want to reassure everyone that I DO NOT have toxemia and am screened for it every week. I also consulted with my doctor and she has reassured me that all is okay. Deep sigh of relief here. Picture Descriptions: Top left = Yes, those are my finger imprints that stay indented in my leg. Top right = Indentions left by socks. Bottom Ctr = Dan especially likes this one cause my leg looks like it could be broken. :)
Meet Daniel and Brittany
The challenge that began with "Have a nice life, Daniel Burton" is progressing with favorable results. Surviving and thriving on lively discussions about books, Abby, or the post-grad school world, the Burtons show signs of excellent health and familial success.
Dan and Britt met on a hot July 4th in 2005. Shortly after inviting her to join him for a panoramic view of the Independence Day fireworks, and not long after her denial, Daniel and Britt agreed to break the ice over ice cream. They soon realized that they were both book geeks, decided a permanent union was worth evaluating, and were married just over a year later on another beautiful July day.
After graduating with a law degree from both he and Brittany's alma mater's rival, Daniel is corporate counsel at the Woodbury Corporation, a commercial real estate management and development company in Salt Lake City. Meanwhile, and far more interestingly, Brittany is raising a new generation of Burtons as full-time mother and family creative director. Abby is two and a half, and #2 is on the way, with arrival expected in late June of 2011. The Burtons look forward to many years of exploring canyons, creeks, and mountain tops, swapping novels, notes, and ideas, and enjoying great discussions about people, politics, and their family.
Daniel and Brittany are both graduates of the 2002 class of Brigham Young University. Abby is gunning to graduate from diapers, sooner than later.

oh Brittany I feel for you tons!!! I didn't swell up before giving birth but I sure did after all the liquid they gave me during surgery. And it is not a fun feeling! I was not anywhere near you though. We are so excited to hear from you guys after you give birth!!!! I am so glad you guys are having a little one now, so Colby will have a cousin his age!

oh Britt- hang in there. All starts shrinking soon (like Whit said) except for the milk producers! However, in your case, maybe those will shrink soon too! I am hoping to try and talk to you before you have this baby, but if not, good luck and we will catch up soon. I'm looking for a job for Dan!
